These are the terms and conditions for the supply of goods and services to you, our Customer, by Footprints and Whispers which is a trading division of L2D Limited (company registration number 7277058, formerly ElecDonate Limited), a company registered in England and Wales. We, at Footprints and Whispers, believe in presenting the necessary legal terms and conditions in plain English and to avoid "legalese" wherever possible. However, if there is anything on this page that is not clear to you, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We understand that in choosing products from our range you are likely to have experienced an event that could be very disturbing and stressful. We promise that we will do all that we can to provide a sensitive service recognising that fact.
Most of our products are made specifically for you. Many of these products are designed to incorporate cremated remains (ashes ), special soil, hair, fur, personal pictures, fingerprints or similar. We promise to take great care of these items for you and keep them securely labelled and stored at all times. We will also return any items or surplus material to you. When used, we will use the best delivery company for such materials. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the security of these materials and the finished product whilst they are in the possession of any delivery service.
Whilst any materials and finished goods are of huge emotional value to you, that cannot be reflected in our liability. All items in store and in transit will be very well insured, however our liability will be restricted to the market value or cost of the items concerned.
Since many of our products involve the collection of keepsakes etc from you it is important that you carefully read and choose the modes of transport with which you feel most comfortable. We also recommend, where possible, that you keep some additional material stored for the long term as assurance against you wanting additional items or replacing something if you are unfortunate enough to lose an item.
Sizing of rings, necklaces and bracelets etc are entirely your responsibility. We recommend that you seek professional assistance in ensuring the correct sizing. Many local jewellers are happy to provide this service and you will find that some may ask for a small fee or a charity donation. If, inadvertently, you instruct us to provide a size of product that does not fit the intended recipient then we will use our best endeavours to resize the item if it is possible but this will be a chargeable service.
Most of the Pendants and Rings can be engraved. The amount of engraving is subject to the free space available on each specific item. We promise that we will faithfully replicate the words, letters, number and characters you send to us. However, we cannot be responsible for any errors in the information you may send to us such as spellings, capitalisation, punctuation, bracketing etc.
In the unlikely event that any item you purchase is defective then we will replace or correct it and return it to you as soon as reasonably possible. However, once you have signed for receipt of the goods in good condition we cannot accept repairs except as a chargeable service unless defective workmanship or materials are clearly evident.
Payment is due at the time of order as these items are usually made specifically for you. Your order may be cancelled and your money refunded up to the time that the manufacture of your article has commenced. Thereafter, refunds cannot be made.
Delivery times quoted are estimates only. Since most items are individually made by individual artisans the delivery will depend upon their order stack at the time. Once an order has a confirmed delivery that time will be honoured. In some cases a faster delivery can be secured but that will be at an additional cost.
