Brian Thorogood – Director
I am the Director responsible for Footprints and Whispers and I, like my wife Brenda, am a volunteer.
I also take on the usual Director roles of finance, legal issues and troubleshooting. I have an annoying habit of coming up with new initiatives for Footprints and Whispers which drives my colleagues nuts!
I really enjoy, with Brenda, everything to do with our family and love spending time with our grown-up kids and grandkids.
If I get any spare time I love open water, endurance swimming and cycling with the very occasional triathlon. Brenda and I have a shared hobby of Bee-Keeping and we both really enjoy travelling.
I am one of the people that will talk to you.
Brenda Thorogood – Charity and Client Administrator
Hello, I’m Brenda Thorogood, one of two volunteers working within the company, and although well past my ‘sell by’ date I am very involved in the day to day running of Footprints and Whispers.
My main job is looking after our Clients, talking to them and ensuring that orders are properly processed and that everything works like clockwork.
I really enjoy interacting with our clients and helping them in every way that I can. I really enjoy listening. There is a strong probability that I will be the one looking after you.
Like Brian, I really enjoy our family and especially spending time with our five lovely grandchildren.
Clive Wharton – IT Manager
“If a job is worth doing, its worth doing well”, that’s my motto. I happily admit I am a perfectionist, “annoyingly obsessive” my wife would say. Well, I’m married, 2 kids, 2 cats, 2 rabbits – I’m not building an ark, although I reckon I could – I’m a ‘can-do’ type of guy.
I’m also one of the people who looks after our shop and could also be one of the team talking to you.
My main job is the design, layout and operation of the Footprints and Whispers Website so if you have any suggestions then I’d be happy to hear them.
Sue Stevens – Sales and Client Liaison Manager
Mostly, I work in the Love2Donate side of our operations and I am also part of the Footprints and Whispers team who evaluate our products and the artisans who make them.
I also design artwork and marketing material for the company.
My partner is Chris and we have a wonderful dog called Peeka who takes up much of our spare time. Luckily for Peeka, we both love walking and spending time exploring the countryside.
I enjoy reading, painting and spending time with my family. I have two grown-up children and three grandsons that I adore.
Peeka – Company Dog
My name is Peeka and I’m a member of the Footprints and Whispers team. I’ve been living with my owners, Sue and Chris since I was 8 weeks old and it didn’t take them long to get me working in the business.
I admit it, from being a little scamp when I was a wee puppy, I have now reached my teenage years full of energy and life – wearing my owners out and turning their lives upside down. Maturity – I don’t know the meaning of the word and I have set myself a goal of not ‘settling down’ until at least 3 years of age!
My main roles and responsibilities are:
- Guarding.
- Barking out answers to various queries.
- Clawing solutions to your individual requirements.
- Walking through exhibition display designs.
- Pawing through our web pages to make sure we’re Head and Tails above the competition.
I am looking forward to many happy years bounding around and herding my colleagues on team get-togethers.
If you’d like to send me an email then please do so and I’ll get back to you just as soon as I’ve finished chomping on a juicy bone.
